International Community Foundation in San Diego, established in 1990, assists U.S. donors in making tax deductible gifts to qualified nonprofit organizations throughout the Americas and Asia, with an emphasis in Mexico. They undertake required due diligence and make follow up site visits to ensure that those wishing to make charitable gifts internationally can do so legally and get the highest return on their social investment.
FANLAP has been affiliated with ICF since June of 2001. Since then, donations and grants through them built our Comedor/multi use building in Colonia Laguna Azul. ICF provides fiscal sponsorship for our “Friends of Fund” so we may receive tax-deductible donations from third party U.S. donors.
In addition, the Reinhart Family Foundation provided a generous grant through ICF Reinhart Family Foundation for school year 2002/2003 through school year 2006/2007.
Some of the other organizations from Baja California Sur who are affiliated with International Community Foundation are Amigos de Los Niños and Los Niños del Capitan in Cabo San Lucas and Liga Mac in San Jose del Cabo.
ICF also arranges educational forums where nonprofit organizations meet to discuss problems and possible solutions to the education in Mexico. |
